HDMI can be very tricky. A combination of source - cable - receiver - cable - TV may not work because one or more of these don't meet the HDMI specifications.

WebJan 15, 2024 · I just found a workaroud/fix for the Denon X4700H/Optoma P1 combination, no additional cost/purchases needed!! As indicated by Sanepidi, the main problem is the Optoma P1/P2 won't work with HDMI 2.1 receivers. The main out/monitor 2 out are 2.1 ports, HOWEVER the zone 2 out is a HDMI 2.0 port on the Denon X4700H. WebI also have set the HDMI on the TV to standard mode instead of extended and disabled HDR. (Might be unrelated though) Really wired that this seems to be a wide spread issue. To me it looks like the handshake gets messed up and the GPU tries to push HDMI 2.1 bandwidth over the 2.0 cable. Next up is checking out with a proper HDMI 2.1 cable.
